Peu après Torquay, sur la Great Ocean Road se trouve Bells Beach un célèbre spot de surf où se déroule chaque année le championnat Rip Curl, la plus ancienne compétition de surf professionnel du monde.
La découverte de ce spot par hasard m’a permis de voir ou plutôt apercevoir mes premiers surfeurs Australiens.
Malheureusement, cette première rencontre s’est avérée bien différente de la vision de carte d’Épinal que je m’étais faite du surf et des surfeurs australiens. La faute en revient à un ciel des plus maussade et un spot de prise de vue bien trop éloigné pour mon objectif.
Malgre tout, je reste plutôt fier de ce que j’ai pu tiré de mon brave 18-105mm, gràce auquel j’ai pu cropper (zoom et recadrage sur ordinateur) et vous offrir mes premiéres photos de surfeurs.
Comme l’achat du téléobjectif n’est pas dans les priorités (objectif pour portrait et photos de nuit d’abord), je vais devoir me mouiller la prochaine fois pour vous offrir des clichés plus rapprochés.

Just after Torquay, on the Great Ocean Road, there is Bells Beach, a famous surfing spot where the annual Rip Curl Pro takes place, the oldest professional surfing contest in the world.
The incidentally discovery of this spot allowed me to see or rather try to see my first Australian surfers.
Unfortunately, this first meeting was very different from the vision of postcard that I had of surfing and Australian surfers. Problem was: bad weather and a spot of shot very too far away for my objective.
Despite everything, I’m pretty proud of my 18-105mm lens, which allow me to make cropping and offer you my first pictures of surfers.
I don’t think to buy a lens with big zoom for the moment, so next time, I would swimming to offer you best pictures.
